About Our Team
We have a great team of contributors that help us create a place where information can be shared with other librarians and educators. STEM in the library's goal is to provide resources, ideas, collaborations and creativity for educators and students, so that they can learn and enjoy STEM, and possibly have a career in it.
Our Founder - Creator
Dewayne Gleeton, Our creator, is a librarian, technologist, author, grandfather, fisherman, and much more! He loves teaching STEM, and showing students avenues and ideas that they may not normally be introduced to. He has many years in education, teaching science, technology , and as a librarian. Also, he has been in technology and finance for over 20 years.
STEM IN THE LIBRARY
YOU Belong in STEM is a key component of the Biden-Harris Administration's Raise the Bar: STEM Excellence for All Students initiative designed to strengthen and increase Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education nationwide. This new Biden-Harris Administration initiative will help implement and scale equitable, high-quality STEM education for all students from PreK to higher education—regardless of background— to ensure their 21st century career readiness and global competitiveness.
