At STEM In The Library, we work with science teachers to enhance their core instruction and also we introduce students to other areas of science, science career research and hands on projects related to science.

TECHNOLOGY
We love to explore technology and do creative engineering, automotive, computer science and other technology related subjects and projects. We explore solar energy, electricity, computers, robotics, automotive, aerospace and more.

ENGLISH
Students that are on the correct level of English Language Arts ( ELA) do better in all subjects including STEM. We want to provide resources, courses materials, web quests, programs, reading, and other things that can increase students ELA skills.

- Literacy and language activities include language skills, spoken words, written words, group stories, and some sign language
- IREADY - i-Ready gives each student a personalized learning path for both reading and mathematics and it's based on their Diagnostic results.
- Focused grade Level Vocabulary - we provide grade level vocabulary for students to learn and increase their ELA skills.
- Lessons in violence prevention are also given so that the children learn about feelings and emotions including how to express them in a healthy manner
MONEY(MATH)
STEM In The Library has a twist on the (M) in STEM. We focus on the math in money and personal finance. We teach student about saving, interest rates, certificates of deposit, stock, bonds, cash flow, budgeting and more. We use great books, software, and programs to teach money math to our students.

- Savings - learning the core principals of budgeting and saving
- Investing - how to grow money, save for major goals like a home and retirement. What are stocks and bonds and mutual funds
- Assets and Liabilities - we teach what these are, and also how to get assets that earn an income.
- Planting The Seed - By doing this program we plant the seeds of learning how to have a great financial future with a managed budget, and early savings and investing.
LIFE LONG LEARNING (LLL)
Part of the libraries' core services is to provide resources for continued life long learning. This is a bonus page of our program that provides resources and information that you can use for learning about STEM careers, and getting certifications and knowledge.

YOU Belong in STEM is a key component of the Biden-Harris Administration's Raise the Bar: STEM Excellence for All Students initiative designed to strengthen and increase Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education nationwide. This new Biden-Harris Administration initiative will help implement and scale equitable, high-quality STEM education for all students from PreK to higher education—regardless of background— to ensure their 21st century career readiness and global competitiveness.
